The Affective Data Science Division is a division of the BMK Center, Hiroshima University. Through functional MRI studies focusing on the five senses, we aim to achieve an integrated understanding of sensation, emotion, and cognition.
Among our members, Quang Trung Pham is employed by Hiroshima University and is engaged in a project on the integration of deep learning and functional MRI. Hiroki Niwa and Daniel Lee are employed through public research funding. Yohei Takeuchi, Yoshiki Kanda, Dai Shimizu, and Yuta Todoroki are undergraduate students, while Fahad Shah and Hoang Tran Xuan are graduate students; all of them work as research and educational assistants and are involved in research using machine learning approaches.
The Biophysiological Information Analysis Laboratory is a small research group; however, through close collaboration with the Sadato Laboratory, we actively pursue ambitious research projects while compensating for challenges typically faced by small laboratories, such as limited research resources and operational funding. Owing to our small size, members benefit from close and careful supervision by the principal investigator, Professor Junichi Chikazoe.
We are also recruiting graduate students and technical support staff who wish to be directly affiliated with the Biophysiological Information Analysis Laboratory. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us.
We are currently actively seeking graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and industry partners for collaborative research. We welcome inquiries via the contact information listed above.
